The goal: Create a chunky beanie with seamless construction and good shape retention that could become everyone’s favourite. The challenge was all about finding the perfect balance between the 5 ply of yarn the Half Cardigan stitch and the countless needles involved to make this seamless beanie become reality

The Beanie, as it should be

Circular design, seamless knit, super soft and made for usage. This 5 ply or chunky beanie is made with a knit & wear technique, which means that no linking, cutting or sewing is needed. We knit and you wear. The textured Half Cardigan stitch is densely knitted creating an insulating ribbing that will also stretch into the perfect fit, combining the best of both worlds. 

Fiber:  100% 19.5µ Superfine RWS certified Merino wool from Australian mulesing free sheep
Yarn: Combed 2/30 NM, Cradle to Cradle Gold Certified™ Arkaba yarn from Botto Giuseppe
Fabric:  5ply, 3.5 Gauge, Half Cardigan stitch, 85gram
Details: Seamless knit & wear, Single fold

Our formal care instructions:

  • Hand wash cold
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Iron low temperature
  • Dry flat
  • Do not dry clean

Our informal instructions

This head piece could not be easier to care for, that is, if you choose to care for it all. If you do, we recommend a gentle wash by hand, with a soft detergent intended for wool fibers.

In case the rib starts to lose its elasticity, you can easily recover it by using a steamer or an iron with a steam function. Do not press the iron on the rib but hoover it over.
